Know Your Superhero: Jessica Jones

A NEW SUPERHERO IS IN TOWN

After "Daredevil," the second collaboration between Marvel and Netflix takes the superhero and private eye genres in a horrifying new direction.

Genre: Action, Detective, Drama, Superhero.
Created by: Melissa Rosenburg
Based on: Jessica Jones by Brian Michael Bendis & Michael Gaydos
Starring: Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, David Tennant

Marvel's Jessica Jones, or simply Jessica Jones, is an American web television series created for Netflix by Melissa Rosenberg, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise, and is the second in a series of shows that will lead up to a Defenders crossover miniseries.

Origin (comic):

Midtown High student Jessica Campbell was present when Peter Parker was bitten by the irradiated spider which gave him his powers. She had a crush on him, and had just plucked up the courage to speak to him when he was distracted by the bite. She also had a celebrity crush on teen heart-throb Johnny Storm (Fantastic 4).
Jessica's father received tickets for Disney World from his boss Tony Stark. On the way home, their car collided with a military convoy carrying radioactive chemicals. Her family was killed, and, after spending several months in a coma, she awoke, stirred by the first coming of Galactus outside her hospital room. She was placed in an orphanage and adopted by the Jones family.
Jessica later discovered that her radiation exposure granted her super strength, limited invulnerability, and flight (which she never fully mastered during her superhero career). Jessica's adoptive parents re-enrolled her at Midtown High, where she was ostracized by her classmates, especially Flash Thompson. Peter Parker (who had since become Spider-Man) sensed in Jessica a kindred spirit—someone who had also lost family due to a tragic circumstance. Jessica mistook his kind attention and lashed out at him, believing he was merely pitying her.
She later witnessed a fight between Spider-Man and the villain Sandman in her own class. This inspired her to use her abilities in a positive light.
Following a tragic end to her brief superhero career, Jessica Jones tries to rebuild her life as a private investigator, dealing with cases involving people with remarkable abilities in New York City
Krysten Ritter is Bloody Magical as Jessica Jones

This is a darker show than we're used to seeing from Marvel

Jessica Jones, on the other hand, explores the intimacy of abuse. The more personal the show gets as it delves into the abuse, recovery, trauma, and guilt, the harder it is to watch. Amid all this blood, death, and trauma (and there is plenty of all three), the most terrifying thing is watching someone endure it all and go on living. Survival isn't natural. It's work. Hard work.
Jones is a solid, promising show, perhaps the most artistically and thematically ambitious project Marvel has ever embarked upon.

Kilgrave is the most sinister Marvel villain we've seen

David Tennant as Kilgrave
Kilgrave is the most heinous villain we've seen from Marvel. He has the power to control the minds of others, from telling them when they're allowed to speak to pushing them to commit suicide.
His mind control makes for some darkly humorous physical comedy, but his true gift is in capturing the man's sinister streak while offering the tiniest possible sliver of sympathy — he can't see how psychotic he is because he was experimented on when he was a child. But he also can't see the difference between love and rape.
He is obsessed with Jones because she's the one thing he possessed once but can't control anymore. And he's determined to get her back, which he attempts to do by isolating her and hurting the few allies she has.
With rave reviews coming in and most audience reaction thus far being overwhelmingly positive, Jessica Jones should see strong audience numbers and go a very long way to winning Marvel a wider audience among different demographics that aren’t typically represented in large numbers for the superhero genre.
So, If you haven’t seen the new Marvel-Netflix series Jessica Jones, then do yourself a favor: stop whatever you’re doing and stream the entire first season right now.

Bond is Back!!!

                                        Spectre

Genre:        Action, Adventure, Thriller

Cast:           Daniel Craig , Christoph Waltz, Lea Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, Ralph Fiennes

Director:    Sam Mendes

This dreary, and thanks to the Censor chief, sex-less film has Daniel Craig’s solemn Bond shooting up the world during a confusingly circuitous route towards the ‘SPECTRE’. That, Bond fans know, stands for Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion, a global terrorist organisation encompassing almost all Bond villains.

Plot:
A cryptic message from the past sends James Bond on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia, the beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal. Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE. Meanwhile back in London, Max Denbigh, the new head of the Centre of National Security, questions Bond's actions and challenges the relevance of MI6 led by M. Bond covertly enlists Moneypenny and Q to help him seek out Madeleine Swann, the daughter of his old nemesis Mr White, who may hold the clue to untangling the web of SPECTRE. As the daughter of the assassin, she understands Bond in a way most others cannot. As Bond ventures towards the heart of SPECTRE, he learns a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks.

Monica Belluci is the oldest ever Bond girl and it’s sad that we only get a few glimpses of her.

At two-and-a-half hours length, the film is far too long and the climax has been dragged beyond patience. It was as if Mendes wanted to give Craig the best going-away present and didn’t know where to stop. With four scriptwriters, it could also be the case of too many cooks making a mish-mash of the broth.
What's Bad?
The problem with Spectre is that right from the start, it has all it’s cards out in the open. There is no novelty when it comes to the story and we have truly seen it all. This is the second time after Skyfall, Bond’s story rides high on nostalgia and it is yawnsome. What is even more surprising is the fact that with this film, the writers convey that all of Bond’s previous antagonists come from the same terrorist organization called Spectre which was never mentioned before, thus making it a completely personal war for Bond. In spite of creating this premise that Oberhauser has always been the thorn in Bond’s story, it is unbelievable why he would not just kill James with a bullet but indulge in technological theatrics when he captures Bond the first time around.
What the plot essentially lacks is, creating a compelling drama clubbed with emotions like Skyfall. The slow-paced script gives us minimal pulsating or edge-of-the-seat moments that could have been a key for a film with a run-time like this.

Watch or Not:
Spectre promises nothing great from start and hence doesn't deliver anything either. It is neither shaken nor stirred to get you tipsy! But still, if you are a James Bond series fan, not, Daniel Craig one, then you can give it a shot(or you can wait for the torrents).

SUNDAR PICHAI - A Journey from Chennai to Google

GOOGLE - The biggest search engine on the planet on 11th August,2015 announced that Sundar Pichai would be the CEO of Google under Alphabet. The 43-year-old joined the company in 2004, and formerly oversaw the development of many products like Gmail, Google Maps, Chrome OS and Android before becoming the CEO of one the biggest tech company’s in the world.

Pichai Sundararajan was born in Chennai on July 12, 1972.He lived an average Indian life for most of his young days, with his father owning a two room apartment in Chennai. The family didn’t own a television set or a car till very late, and just had a blue Lambretta scooter as a vehicle to move about.
He did his schooling from Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Nungambakkam, where he was considered as the brightest in his batch. Pichai developed his curiosity for tech from his father, who discussed his job as an electric engineer with his son everyday. He told him about his everyday challenges, seeding the initial interest in the engineering world.
Pichai went on to study Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and then flew to Stanford University to study his MS in Material Sciences and Engineering. He previously worked in engineering and product management at Applied Materials and in management consulting at McKinsey & Company, before joining Google in 2004.

After gaining his new designation he gave a speech on a theory that is being massively shared for the past few weeks. It’s a speech about the ‘cockroach theory’ for self development. Here’s how the theory goes:
The cockroach theory for self development
"At a restaurant, a cockroach suddenly flew from somewhere and sat on a lady. She started screaming out of fear. With a panic stricken face and trembling voice, she started jumping, with both her hands desperately trying to get rid of the cockroach. Her reaction was contagious, as everyone in her group also got panicky. The lady finally managed to push the cockroach away but ...it landed on another lady in the group. Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama. The waiter rushed forward to their rescue. In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter. The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behaviour of the cockroach on his shirt. When he was confident enough, he grabbed it with his fingers and threw it out of the restaurant.Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, the antenna of my mind picked up a few thoughts and started wondering, was the cockroach responsible for their histrionic behaviour? If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed? He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos. It is not the cockroach, but the inability of those people to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach, that disturbed the ladies.I realised that, it is not the shouting of my father or my boss or my wife that disturbs me, but it's my inability to handle the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbs me.It's not the traffic jams on the road that disturbs me, but my inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam that disturbs me.More than the problem, it's my reaction to the problem that creates chaos in my life."

Lessons learnt from the story:

I understood, I should not react in life.I should always respond. The women reacted, whereas the waiter responded.Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always well thought of.A beautiful way to understand............LIFE.
Person who is HAPPY is not because Everything is RIGHT in his Life..He is HAPPY because his Attitude towards Everything in his Life is Right..!

So, tell us in the comments below, are you inspired by this theory?

Theory of God

Did we invent GOD???

Is God really out there? Did god invent humanity or we invented God?

The answer is God knows!!!!!

Different sections of society will answer to that question differently.

We are surrounded by stuffs that are not only hard to believe but imagine also.
The  planets , nature , living beings every
complex thing out there even the simple ones.

These are some very hard questions to answer.

Researcher named Jesse did performed experiments on children to find at what age do  they start believing in the God.

One very interesting conclusion that he draw was that any child who was trying to hide something or don’t want to get the punishment .What he/she will do is swear to God.
That’s something we also did at our early ages.

This supernatural sense might be something more than the byproduct of an intelligent mind because a ground breaking experiment with chimpanzees suggests that belief in God is unique to humans.

Here is one of the biggest, and apparently unshakable, concepts man has devised – everything has to have a beginning. But, logic tells us, if everything has a start , something must have started it .It couldn’t, we believe have just appeared without help. Now comes the dilemma. Whatever started the world had to itself be started .So what started the thing that started the world? And, then what started that? And so on.

Or we can think it as it was like this always.

There is no substantial proof that God existed .Neither we have laws to proof that god isn’t. Or the theory which explains the universe from the so called ‘beginning’ to now without considering supernatural forces.

Tell us in comments below what you think about God.

Be Conscious

       Consciousness

The one quality of human being which holds the most credentials for the prolific development of human lives is consciousness. It is the state of being aware of an external object /environment or something within oneself. The transition from stone-age to space exploration had been possible due to our constant effort and being conscious about our surrounding .It is one the unsolved mysteries for years.
Philosophers and scientists have been at war for decades over the question of what makes human beings more than complex robots.

We know something about the about the body and brain, but what about the subjective life inside?

Few years ago when mistakenly I touched a hot utensil thanks to my reflex action it got my hand away from that hot object .And when I saw my hand I realized that this is my hand ,this is me. WHOAAA????? And what the hell i am alive .What it feels to be alive?? I don’t know. I am not an animal not an insect not any other human being. How it feels to be  someone else. I have heard that bats communicate through radiations .What??? How do they do that? What it feels to be bat? Lots of things started pondering over my head. It made me feel like an alien.
Any creature who thinks like that is conscious.

It’s hard to believe that many scientists has denied of any such thing as consciousness.

The clearest examples are : perceptual experience ,such as tastings and seeing’s; body-sensational experiences ,such as those of pains ,tickles and itches ;imaginative experiences ,such as those of one’s own actions or perceptions ; and streams of thought ,as in the experience of thinking ‘in words’ or ‘in images’. Introspection and phenomenality seem independent, or dissociable, although this is controversial.

This are different levels of consciousness as explained in the figure

Philosophers and non –philosophers differ in their intuitions about what consciousness is. While most people have a strong intuition for the existence of what they refer to as consciousness is (including me). While some argue that this intuition is false either because the concept is intrinsically incoherent, or because our intuitions about it are based illusions.

It will also be interesting to know about the level of consciousness in kids.

There were three biggest questions that were pondering over for a long time.

Firstly, Is this whole thing the universe are made exclusively for us?? Copernicus was the first to make distance from this thought by arguing that Sun is the center of universe not earth.

Secondly, Are we the only intelligent being out there???
Darwin answered this question by giving “The theory of evolution” which said that this isn’t the last form of our physical and biological body neither the first we are evolving to our needs.

The third question asking about the relation between body and mind? No substantial theory has yet been put forth on this topic.

There is also buzz about consciousness after death .Recent studies have shown signs of being consciousness at time of a death .But there is still long way to go.

As Nikola Tesla famously quoted “My brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration. I have not penetrated into the secrets of this core but I know it exists”.

Thanks for reading!!!
I hope you like it.
Long live science!!!

Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2

Director: Luv Ranjan
Music: Sharib-Toshi & Hitesh Sonik
Cast: Omkar Kapoor, Sunny Singh Nijjar, Karthik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha, Sonalli Sehgal and Ishita Sharma

Love strikes back
After such a success among the youth in the year 2011, Director Luv Ranjan brought back the man's side of story in a "complicated" relationship. Though it's not a sequel as the characters are new and nothing's related to the previous plot, except for the bad luck of the guys. Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 offers everything you have said or wanted to say during that boys’ night with your friends.

Plot:
Much like the first film, it traces the love life of three men, foolish enough to fall in prey for three women. Now, as then, three flatmates acquire girlfriends and live to rule the day. Siddharth (Sunny Singh Nijar) becomes butler, driver and handyman to his beloved Supriya (Sonalli Sehgall), who cannot bring herself to tell her family that she loves him. Tarun (Omkar Kapoor) and Kusum (Ishita Sharma) appear to be a perfect match until she starts maxing out his credit cards and interfering with his business plans. Anshul (Karthik Aaryan) adores Ruchika (Nushrat Bharucha), but she treats him like one of her designer handbags and loves her male BFF more.

There are many moments in the movie which will make you relate to yourself, punchlines which hits straight through the point to make you laugh. Only flaw is that it's a bit predictable at times and its pretty average music but that's okay with this movie because its offering you yet another epic 7 minutes long epilogue by Karthik Aaryan, in which he basically savages women for the way they treat men. From Kate Winslet's selfishness at not sharing that plank of wood with Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic to Girls' siyappa of having a chat even after sex!!!

Watch it or not?
Though while watching it you would feel sometimes that its prequel was bit better than new one, but you will have a good time all through the movie. Its a must watch.
So go out, feel the punch of love, but just don't mess up otherwise there's a saying "bandh gaya patta dekho ban gaya kutta".

Funk'd Up Rating: 3/5 points.

Till then enjoy this epic video and stay tuned to our channel.

Tell us in the comments below your take on this movie. What another points you think should be there in the epic epilogue in its next part?
